Demetris Demetriou is the fourth Consul General of Cyprus in Saint Petersburg. He officially assumed his duties on 20 December 2013.
Demetris Demetriou joined the Diplomatic Service in 2006. Prior to his current post in Saint Petersburg, he served in the Cyprus Question and Turkey Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2006-2008), the Diplomatic Office of the President of the Republic of Cyprus (2008-2013) and the European Parliament Department/ European Union Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (March 2013- November 2013).
He holds a B.A in Political Science and History from Panteion University in Athens, an M.A in European Studies from King’s College, University of London and an MBA from the University of Cyprus. He speaks Greek, English, Russian, Turkish, and French (basic).
