Persons of Cypriot origin can apply for registration as Citizens of the Republic of Cyprus.
· Applicants must appear in person at the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus to Abu Dhabi.
· In case of minors (under the age of 18), both parents must be present. If the parents are divorced the consent of both parents is required or a Family Court Decision for parental care is necessary.
Registration of a Person Born Abroad (Adults & Minors) – Form M121
Eligible for application:
Adults or Minors (under the age of 18) who were born abroad after the 16th of August 1960 and whose mother or father was a Cypriot Citizen at the time of birth of the applicant.
Not Eligible for application
Adults or Minors (under the age of 18) whose parent(s) acquired the Cypriot Citizenship by Registration due to a (previous) marriage to a Cypriot citizen, i.e. with Form M125.

PLEASE NOTE:
All Arabic documents should be translated in English. The translation should be endorsed/ stamped both by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE, before presenting same to the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Abu Dhabi.

Registration of Minors (under the age of 18) Born in Cyprus or Abroad– Form M126
Eligible for application:
Minors whose mother or father acquired the Cypriot citizenship, after the time of birth of the applicant, through Naturalization (Form M127) OR due to Cypriot Origin (Form M123 or Form M124)
Not Eligible for application:
Minors whose parent(s) acquired the Cypriot Citizenship by Registration due to a (previous) marriage to a Cypriot citizen, i.e. with Form M125.
To schedule an appointment, you must first go to the FORMS FILE and check the required documents and the form M126.
PLEASE NOTE:
All documents that are in Arabic should be translated in English and the translation should be stamped and legalized by both the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE presenting same to the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Abu Dhabi.

Acquisition of Citizenship as a Spouse of a Cypriot citizen – Form M125
Eligible for application:
Spouses of a Cypriot Citizen overseas who have completed at least three years of marriage.
Not Eligible for application:
Spouses of a Cypriot Citizen who acquired the Cypriot Citizenship by Registration due to a (previous) marriage to a Cypriot citizen, i.e. with Form M125.

Registration of Adults of Cypriot Origin- Form M123
Eligible for application:
Adults who were born on the 16th of August 1960 or after and originate from a person who,
Became a British subject under the Cyprus Annexation Orders -in-Council of 1914-1943 OR
Was born in Cyprus between the 5th November 1914 and the 16th August 1960 while his/her parents were ordinarily resident in Cyprus
