2. Do you accept card payments or EFT? What are the methods of payment?
The Consular Section only accept cash for now.
3. I am a holder of a Schengen Visa type C for multiple entries. Is the visa valid for Cyprus?
Yes. Holders of valid Schengen Visa Type C for multiple or double entries can enter Cyprus with their Schengen Visa.
4. What are the working hours of the telephone center of the Consular Section for enquiries from the public?
The telephone center's working hours are from 13:00 until 15:00 from Monday until Friday except from public holidays.
5. Applying for Visa-Do I need to book an appointment for applying for a visa?
No. Visa applications can be submited from Monday until Thursday from 9am until 10am without an appointment excpet from the last two (2) days of the month and public holidays.
6. Applying for Visa - Do I have to pay for my flight tickets? What if I am not travelling?
No.the flight tickets do not have to be paid. What is requested in our webiste is provisional booking/itinerary showing legal port of entry and exit with the name of the passenger. Air tickets should not be purchased before the visa is issued.
7. Applying for Visa - Do I need to come in person to apply for a visa?
No. The visa application, the fees and the requested supporting documents, can be submitted with a courier company or through any other authorised person eg an agent. For the collection of the passport, authorization letter should be presented by the person who is collecting.
8. Applying for Visa - How long does it takes for a visa application to be processed?
We urge the visa applicants to submit their applications 7 to 10 working days before the trip. Depending if it is a bussy period or not the examination and issuing process will take up to 10 working days.
