Application for visa

1. Document certification

Applicants wishing to certify a document issued by the Republic of Cyprus at the Embassy are kindly requested to contact the Embassy to make an appointment.

Please bring a valid passport or ID card.

NB! The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus is only able to certify documents issued by the Republic of Cyprus. Documents issued by other states, including Hungary, must be certified by the relevant authorities of the issuing state.

In order to certify a document issued by Hungary for international use, please apply to the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary which may certify the given document with an Apostille.

As Cyprus is a contracting member of the Hague convention, an Apostille is the correct format of certification for any Hungarian document to be used in the Republic of Cyprus. Please see the link below.
