Cyprus and Sweden established diplomatic relations in 1960, when Cyprus gained its independence. Cyprus established an Embassy resident in Stockholm in 1994.
The Ambassador of Cyprus in Stockholm is also accredited to the Republic of Latvia and the Kingdom of Norway.
The Embassy’s main mission is to promote and further enhance political, cultural, economic and trade relations with Sweden, Latvia and Norway. Furthermore, the Embassy provides general information on Cyprus and offers consular services to Cypriot nationals visiting or living in the countries of its accreditation, as well as advice to those intending to travel to the island or wishing to establish business or other contacts with Cyprus.
