Travel Advice : Avoid non-essential travel to certain areas

Details : Citizens of the Republic of Cyprus, who permanently reside or intend to travel to Egypt, are advised to avoid non essential travel to certain areas in the country, to monitor news reports for any developments, and follow instructions of the local Authorities.

Τourist areas including Giza province, the Giza Pyramids, Luxor, Aswan, Sharm el Sheikh and the St. Catherine’s Monastery in Mount Sinai, are fully accessible and operational.

As has been announced in the country's official gazette, the emergency period in Egypt has been extended for a period of three months from 27 of October 2019 until 26 January 2020.
