The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Mr Dimitris Avramopoulos, will pay an official visit to Cyprus between 1st and 2nd July, at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis.
The visit of the Greek Foreign Minister will focus on the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Cyprus problem and issues concerning European and international current affairs, with special emphasis on the developments in the countries of the Southern Neighbourhood.
On Sunday, 1st July a meeting between the delegations of Cyprus and Greece will be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and statements to the Press will follow. Later in the evening Dr Kozakou-Marcoullis will host a working dinner in honour of her Greek counterpart.
On Monday morning, 2nd July the Greek Foreign Minister will be received by the President of the Republic, Mr Demetris Christofias, and the President of the House of Representatives, Mr Yiannakis Omirou. He will also meet with the leaders of the political parties.
In the margin of his visit, Mr Avramopoulos will pay a visit to the Tymvos Military Cemetery and the Imprisoned Graves where he will lay wreaths.
The Greek Foreign Minister will depart from Cyprus on Monday noon, July 2nd.
