The High Commission is responsible for the promotion of all aspects of political and bilateral relations between Cyprus and Australia. The High Commission does this in the context of the foreign policy objectives of the Republic of Cyprus, especially concerning the Cyprus problem and the general promotion of Cyprus.

The High Commission is responsible for the promotion of the political, economic, cultural and other priorities/objectives of the Republic of Cyprus. In addition to the Commonwealth of Australia, the High Commission is also accredited to New Zealand, the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, the Republic of the Fiji Islands, the Kingdom of Tonga, the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, the Independent State of Samoa and the Solomon Islands.
