The High Commission

The High Commission’s main mission is to promote and further enhance the political, economic, cultural and trade relations between Cyprus and India. The relations between the two countries are robust and are based on strong bonds of friendship and common historical experience as well as excellent political cooperation that exists since the time of the founding fathers of both countries.

Moreover, the High Commission's mission extends also to eight other countries of its parallel accreditation in South and South-East Asia, namely Bangladesh, Malaysia, Myanmar, Maldives, Nepal,Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

In addition, the High Commission provides general information on issues concerning Cyprus and offers consular services. The High Commission operates from 9 am to 5 pm (Monday-Friday), except for public holidays (please see link: public holidays). The Consular Section operates from 10 am to 1 pm (Monday- Friday), except for public holidays.

H.E. Mr. Evagoras Vryonides is the High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to India since 01 September 2023.
