2. Father’s Cypriot passport or British Subject passport; and/or Cypriot Birth Certificate.
3. Applicants Unabridged Birth Certificate this need to be Apostilled.
4. If born in Cyprus present Cypriot birth certificate.
5. Parent’s marriage certificate (if you have this).
6. Applicant’s current passport and ID.
7. Any other documentation that can show the applicant his/her parent were born in Cyprus.

· APPLICATION FOR ACQUISITION OF CITIZENSHIP FOR REGISTRATION OF MINORS OR ADULTS WHO WERE BORN ABROAD AFTER 16 AUGUST 1960 AND EITHER THEIR FATHER IS A CYPRIOT CITIZEN OR, AFTER 11 JUNE 1999, THEIR MOTHER IS A CYPRIOT CITIZEN AT THE TIME OF THEIR BIRTH – (M121)
Documentation Required
1. Relevant application form duly completed (M121 Greek) (M121 English)
2. Applicants Apostille original Unabridged Birth Certificate
3. Parents Cypriot Passport and ID.
4. Proof of the parent being a Cypriot Citizen at the time of the applicants birth (old Cypriot Passport or ID)
5. Certificate of acquisition of the Cypriot citizenship of the Cypriot parent (where applicable).
6. Parents’ Apostille original Unabridged Marriage Certificate (where a marriage has taken place).
7. Where no marriage has taken place at the time of the child’s birth and child is born out of wedlock, each parent must submit a sworn declaration recognizing the minor as their biological child at the High Commission. A sworn declaration can be issued only by a Court in the Republic of Cyprus.
8. Applicant’s current passport (other nations passport if has one).
9. 1 color photo of applicant.
10. Letter of consent of parent who is not a Cypriot Citizen signed and verified at the High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus. (Letter of Consent)
11. Photocopy of non-Cypriot Parents Passport and ID.
12. Applicant has to provide a copy - if he is holder- of any other nations Passport and ID.
13. Both parents should be present when application is submitted.
Citizenship application fees:
o €20 for Consular Birth Certificate ( issued at the High Commission)
o €20 for Electronic Birth Certificate (issued in Cyprus)
o €8.54 for revenue stamp

2. Father’s/mother’s Cypriot passport or British Subject passport; and/or Cypriot Birth Certificate.
3. Father’s/mother’s Cypriot ID card.
3. Certificate of Citizenship of the Cypriot parent (where applicable).
4. Parents Marriage Certificate.
5. Applicants’ Unabridged Birth Certificate, this need to be Apostilled
6. Applicants’ current passport and ID.
7. If applying through a grandparent please submit father/mothers unabridged birth certificate (proof of line of descent from grandparent to parent and applicant) .

· APPLICATION FOR ACQUISITION OF CITIZENSHIP BY A SPOUSE OF CYPRIOT CITIZEN AFTER THEY HAVE COMPLETED AT LEAST THREE YEARS OF MARRIAGE (AT LEAST FIVE YEARS OF MARRIAGE IF THEY LIVE ABROAD) - (M125)

2. Cypriot Spouse’s passport and ID.
3. Cypriot Spouse’s certificate of citizenship (where applicable).
4. Unabriged Marriage Certificate ( Civil or religious or both).
5. Applicant’s Unabridged Birth Certificate which needs to be Apostiled
6. Applicant’s Current Passport and ID.
7. Certificate of harmonious marriage from Archbishopric or priest stating couples period of marriage. (Statement of Cypriot spouse) - not older than 1 month
8. If Cypriot spouse is deceased, a certificate from Archbishopric or priest stating that the couple were married up until the date of death of the Cypriot spouse and that the spouse has not remarried (please include the death certificate of Cypriot Spouse) .
9. Unabridged birth certificate of couple’s children.
10. Police Clearance of clear criminal record (only valid for 6 months after issuance).
11. Police Clearance must be Apostiled by the High Court / Department of International Relations and Cooperation.
12. The applicant and their Cypriot Spouse must be present at the Cyprus High Commission to sign the application.

1. Relevant application form duly completed. The application must be signed at the High Commission by teh Cypriot parent. (M126 Greek) (M126 English)
2. Father’s/Mother’s Cypriot passport and/or Citizenship Certificate.
3. Father’s/Mother’s Cypriot Identity card.
4. Parents Marriage Certificate (Religious/Court/Both).
5. Applicants Unabridged Birth Certificate this need to be Apostilled.
6. Applicants and parents South African passports (or any other nations).
7. Certificate of acquisition of the Cypriot citizenship of the Cypriot parent (where applicable).
8. Letter of Consent of parent who is a non Cypriot Citizen signed and verified at the High Commission. (Letter of Consent)
9. Photocopy of non Cypriot Parents Passport and ID.
