The new High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to India, Mr. Agis Loizou presented on 31st May 2018 his credentials to the President of India, Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, during an official ceremony that took place at the Presidential Palace in New Delhi.
During the private audience, the Cyprus High Commissioner conveyed to the Indian President the warm greetings of President Anastasiades and the Government and the people of Cyprus and expressed Cyprus’ gratitude for close and friendly bilateral relations with India, the principled stance of the Government of India on the Cyprus issue and the respect for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus.
While stressing the excellent level of diplomatic and political bilateral relations, H.E. President Kovind and High Commissioner Loizou, emphasized the need to further strengthen and expand bilateral business cooperation in sectors of common interest, such as tourism, energy and investments, in order to advance and develop the already close relations existing between the two countries.
