ANNOUNCEMENT
CYPRUS INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT
On the occasion of the "Youth Year" in Russia, the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM), that has been ranked 16th among the best European business schools according to score card of TopMBA.com., declares an essay competition, the winners of which will receive a 50% scholarship/assistantship on CIIM’s master programs (for each program only one such scholarship/assistantship will be awarded). Further details on this competition are provided below:
MBA/MPSM scholarships/assistantships
(a) Master in Business Administration (MBA)
(b) Master in Public Sector Administration (MPSM)
To be eligible to participate under this category, candidates should meet the following requirements
· Bachelor degree in any field from an accredited university
· Fluency in English (evidence of TOEFL 550 and above, or IELTS 6 band)
· At least three years’ post bachelor work experience
The fees for the MBA or the MPSM program are € 14.510 (these include tuition and registration fees but exclude living expenses). Winners of the assay competition will have to pay only € 7.255 (50%). Payment of the remaining fees (50%) will take the form of a scholarship/ assistantship, namely:
(a) € 3.628 (25%) CIIM Scholarship
(b) € 3.627 (25%) student’s assistantship. Students will have the opportunity to assist in the Library, the Accounts or the International Marketing Department.
MSc scholarships/assistantships
One scholarship/assistantship will be offered in each of the following master programmes:
(a) MSc in Shipping Management
(b) MSc in Marketing Management
(c) MSc in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour
(d) MSc in Educational Leadership and Management
(e) MSc in Finance and Banking
To be eligible to participate under this category, candidates should meet the following requirements
· Bachelor degree in any field from an accredited university
· Fluency in English (evidence of TOEFL 550 and above, or IELTS 6 band)
The fees for the MSc programmes, except for the MSc in Educational Leadership and Management are € 7.680 (these include the tuition and registration fees but exclude living expenses). Winners will be required to only pay € 3.840 (50%). As in the case of the MBA and MPSM category, payment of the remaining fees (50%) will be in the form of a scholarship/ assistantship, namely:
(a) € 1.920 (25%) CIIM Scholarship
(b) € 1.920 (25%) student’s assistantship. Students will have the opportunity to assist in the Library, the Accounts or the International Marketing Department.
The tuition/registration fees for the MSc in Educational Leadership management are € 8.530. 50% of the fees will be paid by the winner of the competition, while the other 50% will be covered in the same manner as the other programmes described above.
How can I take part in the essay competition?
1. By 15 September 2009, all candidates should register for the competition by sending an email to ciimessaycontest@gmail.com, providing their contact details and the category under which they wish to compete.
2. By 30 October 2009, all participants should send to ciimessaycontest@gmail.com:
(a) a detailed curriculum vitae and
(b) an essay, 300 words in length, answering the question “Why do you want to study in Cyprus?”
3. By 30 November 2009, authors of the best essays will be invited to take part in a telephone interview in English.
The Committee that will evaluate the essays will consist of CIIM professors and alumni from different countries of the world, including Russia.
The competition winners will be selected by 10 December 2009 and the scholarships/assistantships will be awarded at a festive ceremony in Moscow.
