The Political Section of the Embassy deals with the enhancement of political co-operation between the Republic of Cyprus and the State of Qatar on issues of bilateral and multilateral interest, conveys the Qatari views and positions to the Cypriot Government in Nicosia and analyses and reports on political developments in Qatar.

The section works extensively with politicians, journalists, officials, public figures and academics in a whole range of fields. The department also works closely with the Embassies of other members of the European Union in Qatar to promote the relations of the EU with Qatar in all fields.
