The Embassy



Cyprus and China established diplomatic relations on 14 December 1971 and the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Beijing was opened in 1989. The Embassy is found in the heart of the embassy district of Beijing, near the EU Delegation to China and not far from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

The Cypriot Ambassador in Beijing, Mrs Martha A. Mavrommatis, accredited to China from September 2022, is also accredited to North and South Korea, Laos, Cambodia and Mongolia.

The Embassy's main mission is to promote and further enhance the political, economic, cultural and trade relations between Cyprus and the nine countries of our accreditation. Furthermore, the Embassy provides general information on Cyprus to the public, offers consular services to Cypriot nationals visiting or living in China or any of the countries of our Embassy's accreditation, as well as consular services to foreigners who wish to visit Cyprus or establish contacts with Cyprus in different fields.
