The Political Department of the Embassy is responsible for strengthening the cooperation between Cyprus and France in areas of bilateral, European and multirateral interest. It contributes to the deepening of relations between the two countries, in particular in the political, security and defense, economic, commercial and cultural fields. The Political Department follows closely the political developments in France, and maintains constant contacts and cooperation with politicians, officials, researchers and academics.
The Ambassador of Cyprus to France is also accredited to the Principality of Monaco, and he is also the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cyprus to UNESCO. Our Embassy also follows the work of the European and North Atlantic (EUR/NAT) Office of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Paris, the International Wine and Vine Organization (OIV) based in Dijon, the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) in Paris, in as well as other International Organizations based in France.
