Vaccination is not a prerequisite for travel, however Cyprus is now in a position to update its travel protocol, and offer travel guidance to vaccinated travelers as well. For persons traveling from the above mentioned countries, vaccination certificates will be accepted as an additional facilitator for travel, from May 10th ’21 (For United Kingdom from 1st of May ’21). Cyprus considers as authorized for travel, the vaccines Sputnik V and all those which have been approved by the European Medicines Agency.

Travelers who can prove that they have received all necessary doses of an authorized vaccine, will not be required to undergo any tests to visit Cyprus, irrespective of colourcategorization of their country of departure. Moreover, they will not be placed in quarantine, even in the case when they are close contacts of a positive COVID-19 case. The above facilitation will be valid from the date that a vaccine has been fully administered.

Prior to travel, a copy of the vaccination certificate (in English) must be uploaded onto the Cyprus Flight Pass platform and certain vaccination details must also be provided. Verification of the certificate’s authenticity, is the sole responsibility of border control services in the country of departure. The traveler is responsible and personally liable for provision of untruthful information, and in such a case, will be subject to penalties upon arrival to Cyprus.

It should be noted that the Republic of Cyprus still reserves the right to randomly test any arriving flight, and this will include vaccinated travelers as well. Moreover, all other destination protocols need to be implemented and followed by everyone, including vaccinated travelers.
