President of the Republic in Switzerland for talks with the Turkish Cypriot leader - 07/11/2016 15:13:12

The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, arrived yesterday in Mont Pelerin in Switzerland where, beginning today, and until the coming Friday, 11 November 2016, he will be attending talks with the leader of the Turkish Cypriot community, Mr Mustafa Akıncı, on the issue of Territory.

President Anastasiades is accompanied by the interlocutor, Mr Andreas Mavroyiannis, the Government Spokesman, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, the Deputy Government Spokesman, Mr Victoras Papadopoulos, and the members of the support team of the interlocutor Mrs Erato Kozacou Marcoullis, Messrs Polys Polyviou, Kypros Chrysostomides, Panayiotis Demetriou, Nicos Kleanthous, Toumazos Tsielepis, Nicolas Kyriacou and Andreas Hadjiraftis.

Today, at 10.40 am (Cyprus time), the Secretary General of the United Nations Mr. Ban Ki-moon will arrive at the site of the negotiations, where the two leaders will meet with him upon his arrival.

Subsequently, at 11.10 am (Cyprus time), the UN Secretary General will make remarks to the media.

Later on, the UN Secretary General and the leaders of the two communities will make brief introductory statements before the commencement of the talks (11.30 am Cyprus time).

At 12.15 pm the leaders will commence the talks which will be followed by a working lunch (at 1.30 pm).
The President of the Republic and the leader of the Turkish Cypriot community are accompanied in Mont Pelerin by their spouses Mrs Andri Anastasiades and Mrs Meral Akıncı respectively.
