Only holders of Cypriot ID can submit a passport application.
In person submission of applications at the High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus in Pretoria is required for the collection of the applicant's biometric information (photo, signature and finger prints) by a consular officer.
Applicants are requested to bring the appropriate documents above. The Consular Section will not photo copy any papers. This is the applicant’s sole responsibility.
The applicant is advised to submit the application 4 months before collection.
All minors are eligible to hold a Cypriot ID since June 2012.
If the applicant is a minor both parents, with the minor, must be present at the High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus for the submission of the application.
All minors should have their own passport in accordance with new relevant Regulations of the European Union. Minors that are currently on a parent’s passport will not be able to travel abroad after the 26th of June 2012.
