Applying for a visa - When the applicant is a family member of a Cypriot citizen or of a member of E.U. country citizen:
  • The visa application must be accompanied only with:
  • Current passport valid for at least three months from the date of departure from Cyprus. Also, the passport should have been issued within the last 10 years from the day of entry to the Republic of Cyprus. (eg if the intented trip is for the 01/01/2020 the passport should have been issued after 01/01/2010)
  • Visa Application form duly completed and signed by the applicant with contact details (parents or legal guardian in case of minors). (Download the application form).
  • Two recent colour photos 4.13cm x 5.31cm...
  • Provisional booking/itinerary showing legal port of entry and exit. Air tickets should not be purchased before the visa is issued.
  • marriage certificate for the spouse or birth certificate for children,
  • accommodation of the applicants in Cyprus,
  • copy of the Cypriot passport or in the case that a passport isn't available a copy of the Cypriot i.d. card of the Cypriot family member,
  • or in the case that the applicant is a family member of a citizen of a member state of the E.U. a copy of the European passport or in the case that a passport is not available a copy of the i.d. card.
  • All documents must be in English, Greek or Turkish. Documents in other languages must be officially translated and certified by the relevant Embassy or if applicable Apostille.
  • Spouses of EU/EEA/CH nationals who are holders of the relevant “RESIDENCE DOCUMENTATION-Residence Card of a Family Member of an EEA National (see specimen below) do not need a visa to enter Cyprus, provided that they are travelling with the European Citizen or they are going to join him/her. They should also carry with them their marriage certificate. This directive applies only to married couples.
    The “RESIDENCE DOCUMENTATION” must be valid for at least three months at the time of departure from Cyprus. 


*If the applicant is a minor (under 18th years of age) an unabridged birth certificate should be submitted and a police affidavit of the parents or the guardians of the child giving their consent at a police station or a V6 Form from Home Affairs should be presented with a copy of his/her passport or ID. If parent has sole custody court papers stating this should be presented. Please note that South Africa has issued immigration regulations effective from June 1, 2015. For the immigration regulations as published in the Government Gazette of South Africa follow the link below or visit the South African Department of Home Affairs (DHA) website and check the latest requirements. If travelling by air, you may also wish to consult your airline.
