The Non-resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to Bangladesh, H.E. Mr. Demetrios A. Theophylactou, paid an official visit to Dhaka, along with a delegation of Ambassadors accredited to Bangladesh, from 15 – 17 December 2017, to attend the Victory Day Celebrations and visit the Rohingya Refugee Camp at Cox’s Bazar.
The High Commissioner attended the commemorating events for Victory Day Celebrations, including a reception hosted by the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Md. Shahidul Haque, where he had the opportunity to discuss bilateral relations with Senior Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The High Commissioner also met with the Deputy Commissioner at Cox’s Bazar during his day long visit to the Rohingya Refugee Camp, where he announced a forthcoming mission by Cyprus Volunteer Doctors, as part of the humanitarian assistance to the refugees.
