EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF CYPRUS IN SOFIA

1. Applications must be submitted in person.
2. One completed application form signed by the applicant (or legal guardian in the case of minors) with a passport sized photograph attached.
3. A full national passport valid at least three months longer than the validity of the visa being applied for. Visitors who wish to obtain a visa are advised to be in possession of a passport valid at least for 6 months beyond the period of intended stay.
4. Visa for the return country must be valid for at least three months beyond the period of intended stay.
5. Provisional Booking or Itinerary of travel arrangements (Round trip ticket with fixed dates). Ticket should not be purchased before the visa is issued.
6. Prior Hotel Reservation faxed by the Hotel Manager.
7. If visiting for business, an official letter of invitation (Document 19 (2)) from a Cyprus company must be presented, legalized by notary.
8. If visiting friends, a letter of invitation (Document 19 (2)) from the friends with their address, phone number and occupation in Cyprus, legalized by notary.
9. Bank guarantee letter placed by the host for the duration of the applicant’s stay in Cyprus (513 euro for citizens of Countries of C.I.S. and other Eastern European Countries).
10. Evidence that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the intended stay in Cyprus, e.g. bank statement or travelers cheques (credit cards only in addition to bank statements and with recent statement confirming credit limit. Please note that cash in no acceptable proof).
11. Resent (less than one month old) official letter from employer addressed to the Cyprus Consulate with proof of wages/salary. If self employed, a letter from the solicitor, the accountant or the bank manager of the applicant. If a student in the country of the Consulate, an original letter from the school or University addressed to the Cyprus Consulate confirming status/attendance and the duration of the course.
12. Visa fee: It is not refundable and paid with the submission of the Visa application form.

Short-stay Tourist / Business Visa (1-90 days) (Category C) 80 (euro)

Nationals of: Albania⃰, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina*, Georgia⃰, Moldova*, Montenegro*, North Macedonia ⃰, Serbia⃰, Ukraine ⃰ 35 (euro)

* Visa fee applicable only for holders of non biometric passports. Biometric passport holders do not need a visa.

Please take into consideration that:

• Passports must be valid at least six months before the intended travel to Cyprus.

Important Note:

The Government of the Republic of Cyprus is the only internationally recognised Government on the island of Cyprus. In this regard, travellers entering the Republic of Cyprus via the illegal/closed airports and ports in the turkish occupied northern part of Cyprus are in breach of the national law of the Republic of Cyprus. Therefore, travellers holding a valid Cypriot visa are urged to travel via the recognised ports of entry which are situated in the area under the effective control of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus (i.e. Larnaca International Airport, Paphos International Airport).
