Biometric identity cards of the Republic of Cyprus
Persons, over the age of twelve, wishing to apply for a Republic of Cyprus Identity Card must apply in person after appointment to the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Berlin since a registration of their biometrical data is required.
The validity of the biometric identity cards is ten years for adults and five years for minors.
The following documents must be presented:
· The current identity card
· Republic of Cyprus Birth Certificate
· A Marriage Certificate (in case of change of name through marriage)
· Police Report (in case of lost identity card)
· Fee is €30.00
· Application (Form)

NOTE: Issuing of an Identity Card to those aged between 12 and 18
In these cases, the form must be completed by the applicant and signed by both parents before the Consul. If the parents are divorced, the consent of both parents is required or a Family Court Decision for parental care, if necessary.
