Civil registration issues:
The Embassy accepts (ONLY upon appointment) and forwards applications related to civil registry issues to the Civil Registry and Migration Department in Cyprus, regarding:
- Acquisition or renunciation of the Cypriot Citizenship
- National document issuance, including passports / national identification cards / marriage certificates
- National certificate issuance, including birth and death certificates
- Requests relating to the changing to a person's name
- Cyprus Police Clearance Certificate issuance
Legalization of documents:
The Embassy provides the following services (ONLY upon appointment):
- Certification of a signature
- Forwarding of Apostille Certification requests to the competent authorities in Cyprus
The Embassy provides a range of services including signature certification. The fee for each certification amounts to the equivalent of €8.54 in NIS.
In cases of certifications of signature, it is underlined that the consular officer only certifies that the person signing the document is the same person depicted on the attached copy of passport or ID. The consular officer has no responsibility as to the content of the document.
Information on obtaining Criminal Records:
- Obtaining the Criminal Information Certificate (תעודת מרשם פלילי) by the Israeli Police:
Please send an email to the consular section of the Embassy three weeks after applying with the police in order to inquire whether it arrived at the Embassy and to make an appointment to collect it.
You are kindly asked to state your full name, the date of application with the police, your phone number and your email.
The Embassy will subsequently contact you to schedule a date for pick up.
Please note that the collection of the Criminal Information Certificate is only possible in person or by a third party presenting a power of attorney with an apostille.
- Obtaining a Criminal Record Certificate (Πιστ. Λευκού Ποινικού Μητρώου) by Cyprus Police:
Please send an email to the consular section of the Embassy in order to make an appointment at the Embassy.
You are kindly asked to state your full name, your phone number, your email and the name and the address of the applicant's employer.
Cypriot Citizens: Please bring the completed application form (attached below), copies of the Cypriot passport and of the Identity Card.
Foreign Citizens: Please bring the completed application form (attached below) together with a copy of the passport and the relevant pages of the passport indicating the period of the arrival to and the departure from Cyprus as well as any other documents showing the period and the reason of the applicant's stay in Cyprus (e.g., Residence Permit, Documents by the employer in Cyprus).
The fee of 20€ can be either be paid directly in cash for the equivalent in NIS, according to the monthly exchange rate.

In case of an emergency or danger for a Cypriot citizen in Israel, contact the Embassy.
