The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Tel Aviv is looking for a Security Guard for a fixed-term contract of three (3) years.
Job brief
We are looking for a competent Security Guard to undertake the surveillance of the Consular Section and the protection of our staff and visitors. He/she will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Checking, registration and authorizing entrance of all visitors of the Consular section
• Use and monitoring of security systems such as: CCTV, X-ray baggage scanner, Archway and handheld metal detectors
• Supervision of the public in the premises of the Consulate, ensuring order and safety
• Responding to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Responding quickly and suitably during crisis
• Investigating people for suspicious activity or possessions
• Apprehending and detaining perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
• Any other related duties required by the Consular Section of the Embassy.

Benefits and conditions of employment:
Tenure: The successful candidate will be hired on a fixed-term contract of three (3) years
Salary: The starting gross salary for this position is 11,212 NIS per month.
Medical insurance: Based on local legislation.
Annual Leave: based on local legislation.


Dates/Hours of Attendance:
The position is full-time, Monday to Friday 09:00-16:30.
Requirements:
1. Experience in a similar position
2. Certificate of secondary education
3. Good command of spoken English and Hebrew
4. Clear Criminal Record Certificate
Will be considered an advantage:
1. Good command of spoken / written Greek
