Visa Information




General visa information:

- Multiple-entry Schengen visa holders & Israeli passport holders do not need a visa in order to enter the Republic of Cyprus

- Holders of other travel documents issued by Israel need a visa in order to enter the Republic of Cyprus.

- All persons who are in possession of a work permit, a temporary residence permit or a study permit issued by an EU country do not need a visa.

- In relation to third country nationals, the necessity of a visa depends on the nationality of the applicant:

Please note that it is essential that your passport must have a validity period of at least 3 months after the intended date of departure from the Republic of Cyprus.

- Visa Categories



Visa application procedure:

- Required documents / it is essential for the applicant to submit the following documents so that the visa application will successfully be examined:
          1) One completed Application Form with 1 recent passport sized photograph attached to it
          2) Passport with a validity of at least 3 months after the intended date of departure from the Republic of Cyprus. The passport shall contain at least 2 blank pages
          3) A copy of the applicant's travel arrangements (e.g., booking confirmation of the flights)
          4) A copy of the hotel reservation or other proof of accommodation arrangements
          5) Solid evidence that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the intended stay in the Republic of Cyprus (e.g., bank statement, traveller's cheques etc.)
          (Information on credit cards can be accepted only in additions to bank statements and only with a recent statement confirming the credit limit; cash is not considered to be sufficient proof)

          6) A recent (dated within 1 month only) official letter from the employer in Israel, addressing the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Tel Aviv, with proof of the applicant's income.
          7) If the applicant is self-employed, a letter from the solicitor, the accountant of the bank manager of the applicant will be sufficient.
          8) If the applicant is a student, an original letter from the school or university, addressing the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Tel Aviv and confirming the status/attendance and the duration of the courses is required.

          9) Travel insurance that covers the entire period of the applicant's intended stay or transit with a minimum medical coverage of 30,000 Euro. The policy number and dates of cover must appear on the document. No quotations will be accepted.

          --> Additional documentation is required should the trip to the Republic of Cyprus be related to the following reasons:
          In the case of civil marriage/civil union in Cyprus you will need a confirmation issued by a Cyprus Municipality, attesting the planned civil marriage/civil union (further information may be found on the website of the Civil Registry and Migration Department of the Ministry of the Interior for both civil marriage and civil union).
          In the case of a business trip you will need an official letter of invitation from the company/institution concerned.
          In the case of visiting family/friends in Cyprus you will need a letter of invitation which will include the complete address, phone number, and occupation of your host in Cyprus as well as an Assumption of Responsibility Form, duly completed and signed by the said host.

          --> Please note that children, under the age of 18, who travel without their parents (e.g., alone, school trip etc.) need to present a certified parental consent document.

Fees:
The Embassy charges the equivalent of the respective fee in cash in NIS, according to the monthly exchange rate (for more details please click here)
Visa processing fees are not reimbursed if a visa is rejected.

-
You are kindly asked to provide your name, email address, phone number and type of request when you contact us by email.
- Visa applications must be submitted in person and signed at the Embassy premises (ONLY upon appointment).
- Issued visas must be picked up in person from the Embassy (ONLY upon appointment).
- The Embassy reserves the right to request the submission by the applicant of additional supporting documentation, as this is deemed necessary.
