Non Commercial Movement of Companion Animals – EU Regulation 998/2003/EK
The provisions governing the non commercial transportation of companion animals into Cyprus can be found at the Veterinary Services Departmental-webpage under the Useful Information link.
In accordance with the provisions of the relevant legislation, the companion animal’s owner or the person responsible for it, must inform the Veterinary Services Department, of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment of the Republic of Cyprus, of its arrival and must submit all relevant information, (the airline company and flight number or the name of the sea vessel together with the date and time of their arrival in Cyprus).
The above information must be communicated to the Veterinary Services Department, at least 48-72 hours prior their arrival in Cyprus, either by fax (no.: +357-22-805176) or via email at Animal.Health@vs.moa.gov.cy
