Video launch to promote the Universality of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court

Today, Denmark and Cyprus launch jointly in The Hague a new video to promote the Universality of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

The goal is to encourage states who have not yet ratified the Statute to do so. The Rome Statute established the International Criminal Court, which has jurisdiction for international crimes of most serious concern for the international community such as genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes. The Rome Statute entered into force in 2002. Today, 124 states are party to the Rome Statute.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Ioannis Kasoulides and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Mr. Anders Samuelsen are both participating in the social media campaign.

Join us in the fight against impunity by sharing the video!
