- Chinese nationals, holders of ordinary passports, need a visa to travel to Cyprus.
Chinese nationals, holders of diplomatic and service passports are exempted from the visa obligation, on the basis of the bilateral Agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visas between the Government of the Republic of Cyprus and the Government of the People’s Republic of China (24 July 1990).

- Chinese nationals holders of Public Affairs Passports need to apply for a visa, however they are exempted from the obligation of the visa interview. In The original Note Verbale from the MFA or the local Foreign Affairs Offices is necessary, as well as the booking of return flights and accommodation. A representative from the MFA of the local Foreign Affairs Offices may come to the Embassy to submit the documents on behalf of the applicants.

In accordance with the abovementioned Regulation, as from 11 January 2011, Taiwanese passport holders can travel to the EU Member States (Schengen States, Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus) without a visa for short stays not exceeding three months in any six-month period.
